Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. Enter your name and email and download your certificate straight away.
Is this an official clan document?
No. It is a commemorative certificate that celebrates your Scottish heritage. It does not prove descent or membership of a clan society.
My surname isn't in the list. What should I do?
Many families are linked to a clan as a "sept", a family that historically followed a larger clan. Search your surname on our homepage or browse the list of Scottish clans, then choose that clan here.
Where do the crest and tartan come from?
The tartan is a real swatch of the tartan you choose. Crest badges are shown only for clans where we use an openly licensed image, credited on the certificate.
